Pilot Examiner & Contract Pilot

Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself as you explore your need for Pilot Examining Services, Contract Pilot Services or Pilot Instruction.

I am currently a FAA pilot examiner, contract pilot specializing in King Air and Lear Jet operations, and a Gold Seal Flight Instructor.  I am honored to conduct pilot practical evaluations for initial Private Pilot through Airline Transport Pilot ratings; including initial Instructor Airplane and Instructor Instrument Airplane. I maintain a deep understanding of both operational and regulatory aspects of aviation to remain a trusted resource for pilot evaluations as well as for companies seeking experienced pilots for unique assignments.  Throughout my 40 year aviation career I remain committed to ensuring safety, proficiency, and pursuit of excellence in every flight operation I oversee.

My private pilot flight training was initiated in 1982, followed by my tenure as a flight instructor in 1988 that extends through today.  AMEL & ASEL ATP ratings were achieved preceding the privilege of becoming a pilot examiner in the year 2000.   These aviation goals were realized during my career as a mechanical engineer in aerospace industries that complimented aircraft design and flight vehicle performance.   I retired from Lockheed Martin MIssiles and Fire Control after a 37 year career.  During those years I worked in the fields of flight dynamics, derivation of flight environments, air vehicle structural analysis, and safety of flight design assurance.

Other highlights of my aviation career include:

  • Type Ratings (ATP LR-JET, ATP Cessna Citation XL)

  • Commercial ASES

  • Personal Training - AMEL Turboprop Operations

  • Facilitation of the initial Technically Advanced Aircraft Operations within the Orlando FSDO region.

  • Founding member, flight instructor, and Board of Director leadership of a local flying organization that has owned, managed, and maintained as many as 11 GA aircraft with an active membership of 160 pilots, at its peak.

  • Specialized instructor for the American Bonanza  Pilot Proficiency Program and Mooney Aircraft Safety Foundation.

  • Aircraft owner and operator for personal proficiency and travel throughout the United States and Bahamas.

I focus on  professionalism, attention to detail, dedication to aviation safety and personal commitment to applicants requesting evaluations. I remain committed to making valuable contributions to you as a vital part of the aviation community.

“Whether performing comprehensive pilot assessments or providing reliable contract service, I strive to enhance operational standards and mentor the next generation of aviators”
